How to Use Christmas Wreaths

WreathHanging a Christmas wreath on your front door is a wonderful way to make your home inviting and festive over the Christmas period. But have you ever thought of using wreaths differently? We have come up with some creative ways you can use festive wreaths throughout your home – some you can even make yourself!

If you’re looking for a simple way to brighten up your dinner table over Christmas without taking up too much space, try laying a wreath in the middle and filling the hole with candles in a vase. You can match the colour of the candles to the colours on your wreath. Otherwise red and green are always the perfect Christmas colour combination.

If you want some mood lighting but don’t have the space to safely light candles, why not use a light up wreath? You can put it on the coffee table or hang it on the wall of the lounge room for a little extra light when you’re watching your favourite Christmas films.

Wreaths also make great photo frames for your special Christmas snaps. Large wreaths can be used to display collages of your favourite photos, while smaller wreaths can frame individual pictures. If you’re feeling creative you could even make your own wreath out of photos. Simply cut a ‘doughnut’ out of strong cardboard and attach wooden pegs around the outside. Then you can print out your favourite photos and clip them onto the pegs around the outside of the wreath. Keep it for yourself or give it to a loved one as a gift!
