Christmas Stocking Cutlery Holders

An adorable idea for the dining table, purchase some novelty sized Christmas stockings online or from your local dollar store. Or, for those on a budget, bulk-buy small red socks and hand stitch faux fur lining on the cuffs.

Candy Cane Place Settings

Peppermint is the perfect palette cleanser, so why not have a place setting that your Christmas dinner guests can munch on afterwards? Simply take three regular sized candy canes, and put the long ends together with the canes facing outwards at equidistant angles, allowing them to stand up by themselves. We found it easiest to secure with a few pieces of double-sided tape or a couple of dabs from the hot glue gun, before tying a red satin ribbon around it. Now all you need to do is place a piece of card with your guests name on it inside the holder. For a snazzy touch, why not have us do them for you in glitter calligraphy? See our name cards.

Elfie Table Legs

What a great idea for the kids’ dining table! You can find elf shoes at your local two dollar shop as part of an elf costume, or have a go at making them yourself out of green and red felt, bells and stuffing. Grab some knee-high red, green and white striped socks, and pull them over your table legs. Slip on the elf shoes, and voila – the kids will love this novelty idea for the dining table!

Rudolph Beer Bottles

Say bottoms up with literal bucks. You’ll need a 6-pack of beer (darker ales look better), 12 googley-eyes, 6 small red pom-poms, 12 brown pipe cleaners and a hot glue gun.

Fashion 12 antlers out of the pipe cleaners, and glue them to the lid of your bottles. Add the eyes and the pom poms in the shape of a face, and there you have it. Cheers!

Christmas Condiment Bottles

The silly season is a great time to experiment in the kitchen, and we always end up with new glazes, dressings and sauces that we’ve concocted through happy experiments. But the fun doesn’t end in the kitchen – show them off in a fun fashion!

This is a great craft activity with the kids. Simply clean out old bottles, and paint them white (for a snowman), red (for a santa), or brown (for a reindeer). Transform your bottles using a hot glue gun, and any crafty bits and bobs you may have – felt, pom poms, bells, twine, glitter glue or metallic paint.

Napkin Festive Folding

It’s those tiny details that really set your Christmas decor apart, and a thoughtfully, festively folded napkin is the perfect final touch to a dining table. Check out this fabulous tutorial to fold your napkin like a Christmas tree!
