Treat your guests to the relaxing vibe of a sun-kissed Christmas as soon as they walk in your home by hanging a Coastal themed wreath on your front door. Our guide provides an outline of how to create a simple and contemporary wreath. You can also pop down to the beach and collect a few interesting shells to attach on there too – it’s amazing what you can do with a hot glue gun!
What You’ll Need:
- A plain wire wreath
- Thick burlap ribbon
- Starfish decorations of various sizes
- Copperseed lights (battery operated)
Method
- Tie two knots around the top of your wreath, the second one slightly loose as to fit a hook through it – this will act as your stocking hanger.
- Simply arrange the starfish around the wreath to your taste and bend the wire prongs of the wreath to keep them in place. For extra security, fix with a hot glue gun to secure them, or simply secure with wire so that you can change your wreath décor each year
- Take your copper seed lights, and slip the battery pack into the burlap ribbon at the back of the wreath. Wrap the lights around the wreath and over the starfish for extra security to keep them in place.
- Hang on your door – voila!
