Christmas Place Settings

Put the finishing touch on your decorating theme by tying in your place settings! It’s easy to create stylish place settings for all your guests that fit in with your decorating theme and ensure the table looks as good as the food you’ll be serving on it!

Very Berry Christmas
Complement your Very Berry Christmas decorating theme by starting off each place setting with a dark green or tartan placemat. Place a white dinner plate on top of each placemat, and lay a bright red napkin on top. Next, layer a smaller white side plate and a white bowl on top of the napkin. Add a silver or brown paper Christmas cracker by each place setting. Tie a piece of tartan ribbon around the back of each chair to finish the look off.

Nordic Christmas
Your Nordic-themed Christmas table should look clean and simple, without too much clutter or colour. Start with a white tablecloth, then set each place with a light grey square cloth placemat. Use simple, white crockery – square shaped plates and bowls will work well here if you have them. Add a splash of colour with red napkins and crackers for each person.

French Vintage Christmas
A French Vintage place setting should be glamorous and inviting! Break out your fanciest cut glass or crystal glasses and champagne flutes and your best silver cutlery. Lay each place with decorative plates and bowls, preferably with gold or printed designs along the rims. Use Christmas crackers in gold or silver, and add a fresh flower on the top of each place setting with nametags tied to them to mark everyone’s seats.

Woodland Christmas
Keep your table natural with your Woodland Christmas place settings. Start off by marking each seat with a burlap placemat. Use plain white or very light green plates and bowls, and simple glasses. Fold a forest green napkin on top of each plate and tuck a white tag with each person’s name written in gold pen into a pinecone to mark the places. Tie each set of cutlery together in a bundle with some twine place beside each plate.

Coastal Christmas
Bring the beach to your table with Coastal Christmas place settings! Start with bright blue placemats and use white or silver crockery. Lay out a dinner plate and bowl on top of each placemat, with a smaller side plate off to one side. On the side plate, place your white napkins and silver bon bons. Mark each place with a spray of glittering coral or a personalised silver bauble.

Merry and Bright Christmas
This is one of the most fun Christmas table setting themes you’ll ever use! Use a different coloured placemat for each person, and layer each place setting with colourful plates and bowls. If you want to match the colours you can, or else you can go for a mix-and-match look instead for a Merry and Bright Christmas. Switch your normal napkins for paper ones with polka dots, stripes or patterns, and use fun mason jar glasses in the place of your normal cups.
