Merry and Bright Christmas Decorating Theme

Merry and Bright Christmas

Have some fun with your Christmas decorating this year by going all out with our Merry and Bright Christmas theme! This fun, family-friendly theme will be a hit with little and big children alike, and is sure to bring a smile the faces of all your visitors this festive season.

  1. Colourful Christmas Tree. Bright decorations, lots of lights, paperchain garlands and fairy lights will all work wonders with your tree this year. Remember to layer your tinsel and garlands on the tree first, so your bright baubles don’t get hidden. Don’t be afraid to use non-traditional decorations on your tree either! As long as the colours match you’re the other decorations in your home, feel free to have a bit of fun deciding what will go on your tree. Try using our mini tin buckets, beach Santa or mermaid decorations to spice things up a bit.
  2. Bright Bedrooms. Remember that decorating doesn’t have to be limited to the living areas of your home. This theme is especially good for taking into the kid’s bedrooms! Scatter some of our festive pom pom cushions on their beds, sit a plush elf shelf sitter on their bedside table to play with during the day and watch over them as they sleep, and hang some Christmas bunting along one wall to create a merry and bright Christmas wonderland.
  3. Laying the Table. Brighten up your traditional table setting by using wrapping paper as a table runner! Find different coloured placemats for each person, and layer each place setting with colourful plates and glasses. Scatter colourful decorations from your tree along the length of the table, marking each person’s seat with a personalised bauble that will double as a gift for them to take home!
  4. No mantle? No problem. If you don’t have a mantel, there are still plenty of other places you can decorate instead. Console tables, buffets, window sills and kitchen benches are all perfect surfaces for decorative items or even hanging your Christmas stockings!
  5. Merry and Bright Gif Giving. Brighten up your Christmas gifts by using some themed wrapping! Or take it up another notch with a few deluxe Santa sacks, with each of your family member’s names embroidered on the front.
