I am so very lucky to have a spacious home that has lots of amazing spaces which are just perfect for indulging my Christmas decorating obsession. I am also fortunate that I am an owner of a Christmas business, and so I have almost unlimited access to a fabulous selection of décor pieces!
My decorating obsession and my “day job” merge perfectly and as a result, I have established a very well stocked collection of Christmas decorations. Of course, I can’t help but add a few more special pieces each year.
Decorating 4 Christmas trees, each in distinctively different styles, as well as the rest of my home too, is definitely a big undertaking, but one that I am only too happy to embark on.
Over the years I have honed my processes to make it as enjoyable and efficient as possible, and I’d love to share with you my tips for success in preparing my home and getting organised for my Christmas decorating.
In this video I’ll take you through my stages of getting everything ready. Not only do I cover the practical aspects and logistics of getting ready, but I also share with you plenty of design tips and inspiration along the way, as I walk you through the key pieces that I will be using on each tree.
We’ll cover:
- packing away existing home décor and getting the house ready
- setting up all the Christmas trees
- selecting and grouping the flowers, sprays, baubles and other decorations for each tree
- selecting ornaments
- handy tips when packing away that make the selection and organising process sooo much easier
I certainly appreciate that others may not have as many trees, decorations and ornaments to choose from as I do, but I hope that the content that is covered in this video will help you when it comes to preparing, selecting and organising your Christmas decorations – whatever your situation is.
