Kids Christmas in July Craft

papersnowflake-christmas-craftLet your kids discover the spirit of Christmas in July by decorating your home with easy Christmas craft. Get them ready for the school holidays with these creative and inexpensive Christmas in July craft ideas.

Paper Snowflakes – You’ll Need:

  • A4 Paper (plain white or coloured)
  • Scissors
  • String
  1. Cut an A4 sheet of paper into a square and cut off the excess rectangle.
  2. Fold the square into a triangle then fold in half again.
  3. Fold the right hand side of the triangle down to the centre of the triangle so the bottom corner is poking down below the bottom of the triangle.
  4. Fold the left hand side over the top of the right side so it resembles an arrow head.
  5. Cut the end of the arrow head to make a triangle.
  6. Cut shapes around the edges of the triangle then unfold to reveal your snowflake.
  7. Use the excess paper to create different sized snowflakes in different shapes.
  8. Thread each snowflake through string and hang around your house, over your doorway, mantle or Christmas tree.

Cardboard Reindeers – You’ll Need:

  • Cardboard tubes
  • Patterned Paper
  • Scissors
  • Googly Eyes
  • Pom poms
  • Glue
  • Straws
  • Pipe cleaners
  1. Cover the cardboard tubes in patterned paper
  2. Cut a triangle cut a triangle head and two large and two small oval ears out of the remaining paper
  3. Glue the smaller ears inside the larger ears and fold in half. Glue to the top of the triangle head.
  4. Glue on googly eyes and add a pom pom for the nose
  5. Glue the triangle head to the top centre of the tube
  6. Use straws and pipe cleaners to make antlers.
