Christmas Gifts You Can Bake

Christmas Cookies With Ribbon
If you’re stuck for gift ideas or want to bring your Christmas giving in under budget why not try baking your presents? There’s nothing like receiving a handmade gift and it gives you the chance to spend an afternoon getting into the Christmas spirit in the kitchen. If you’re looking for some inspiration to get your culinary creativity going, we’ve found a few ideas to start you off.

Cookies and Biscuits
If you want your Christmas treats to be sweet and simple then cookies are perfect! Sugar cookie cut outs are easy to make and look great when iced. You can find cookie cutters in a range of great Christmas-themed shapes, including stars, trees and snowmen. Wrap them in some cellophane and tie with Christmas ribbon and you’re all set.

Gingerbread
Gingerbread is a Christmas staple and it’s much easier to make than you might think. Making gingerbread men can be a great family activity – kids will love the chance to decorate their own gingerbread people. And there’s always the traditional gingerbread house for the more adventurous chefs!

Christmas Pudding
It wouldn’t be Christmas without a Christmas pudding! While a traditional pudding can seem overwhelming and time consuming, there are plenty of cheeky shortcuts you can take to whip up beautiful and delicious mini puddings to give to friends and family. Covered with white icing and decorated with red and green maraschino cherries these make an impressive gift and look lovely laid out on a tray.

Any of these sweet treats would make an ideal gift – and if you want to give it an individual touch you can always add a handmade personalised decoration to make a great gift tag.
