Take your decorating to another level by creating breathtaking floating Christmas displays. These decorations are simple to make, and can transform the parts of your home you otherwise wouldn’t be able to utilise. Follow our step-by-step guide below for a fun and easy Christmas project.
- First up choose your baubles. If you have a Christmas theme in mind this is a great place to implement it. Or maybe you have some special, personalised baubles you want to put on display. Gather up five or six and set them aside.
- Next you’ll need to decide how you’ll hang them. You need a strong material – fishing line is a good option, or you can find ribbon in Christmas colours and use that. Cut your ribbon into several different lengths, and attach firmly to the top of each bauble.
- Once all your decorations are ready, you can decide where you’ll hang them. Perhaps you’ll use them to brighten up a pokey corner, or hang them over a doorway. You can also hang them at different heights above your table, creating a talking point during Christmas lunch! Then either tie or pin the loose end of your ribbon to the roof, doorframe or lighting fixtures and you’re done!
