One sure-fire way to make your Christmas meal unforgettable is by creating your own edible centrepiece! It might sound a bit daunting, but don’t worry! We’re here with a few simple ideas that you can use to wow your loved ones on Christmas day.
Edible Christmas Tree You only need 5 things for this centrepiece – a large foam or Styrofoam cone (from a craft store); dipping chocolate; lettuce or other leafy greens; and toothpicks. First up, melt your chocolate and dip your strawberries. While they dry, attach your lettuce to the tree using the toothpicks. Start from the bottom and layer your way up. Finally, add your chocolate strawberries, again attaching them to the tree with toothpicks. And that’s it! As your guests take the strawberries off the tree the lettuce will stay on and look like the leaves of the Christmas tree.
Chocolate Wreath An edible wreath is even simpler than the Christmas tree! Find a simple Christmas wreath, and choose a selection of wrapped chocolates and sweets. Next get some ribbon in festive colours and tie one end around the chocolate. Then fasten the sweets to the wreath with the loose end of the ribbon, place it in the centre of your table and invite your guests to help themselves!
