By now we’re guessing it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in your home and out in the streets and shops. But what about at your workplace? Just because you’re at work doesn’t mean you can’t get into the Christmas spirit. We’ve got some fun, easy ideas for decorating your workplace that won’t break the bank!
Start with your desks. If you want a way to get everyone in the decorating spirit you could organise a ‘best desk’ competition and hold a vote for the most festive decorations! Small decorations like bon bons are great for small spaces, and you can place free-standing ornaments like angels or snow globes on your desk without taking up too much space.
Table top Christmas trees are also perfect for the office. Placing one on your desk, in the reception area, or in a communal work space will immediately give the office a Christmas feel! If your workplace is planning a Secret Santa game this year you can encourage people to bring in their gifts and place them around a small tree in your office kitchen or other communal area. Add a bowl of sweet, Christmas-themed treats and you’ll be guaranteed to feel some festive cheer.
Next up hang some lights, ribbon or tinsel along desk dividers, around the backs of chairs or along the top of your office walls. This is an easy way to make the entire office look and feel more festive without compromising on space at all.
If your office usually has music playing, throw some Christmas tunes into the mix. Whether you like your carols pop, jazz or classically themed, adding them into the background noise will immediately give your office a more Christmassy vibe!
