Read on as we guide you step-by-step through the creation of a captivating Nordic Christmas Village DIY Wreath that’s sure to make your doorstep the talk of the neighbourhood. Grab your crafting supplies and let’s get started on this enchanting journey!

Materials You’ll Need for Your Nordic Christmas Village DIY Wreath

Step 1: Set the Base with Greenery

Begin by placing the mixed faux greenery at the bottom of your oval-shaped twig wreath.

We’ve de-constructed a selection of natural-look sprays using wire cutters to create smaller pieces to work with.

Let the greenery follow the curve of the wreath, mirroring each other on both sides to create a balanced, U-shaped base. To secure the greenery, you can use a small amount of hot glue at the bottom of each piece, but this step is optional.

Step 2: Create a Festive Bow

Next, craft a lovely bow to adorn your wreath. We opted for a neutral tone to co-ordinate with the Nordic Village theme, but you could add a little extra glamour with a metallic mesh or glitter finish ribbon.

Make a four-looped bow with tails measuring approximately 40cm each. Once your bow is ready, tie it securely to the bottom of the wreath using floral wire. This bow will add a touch of elegance to your Nordic Christmas Village DIY Wreath.

Step 3: Prepare the Christmas Village

Now, it’s time to bring your wreath to life with a charming Christmas village. Cut a wooden skewer in half and glue one to each side of the back of each wooden village ornament, serving as a pick to secure them into the twig wreath. Allow the glue to dry completely before proceeding.

Step 4: Insert the Village into the Wreath

With your village ornaments ready, gently push the skewers into the twig wreath to create your picturesque Nordic Christmas Village scene. Arrange them to your liking, creating a cozy winter wonderland. You may like to use a bit of hot glue to secure them in place.

Step 5: Add Mini Christmas Trees

To complete the enchanting scene, nestle mini Christmas trees around the wooden houses and secure them in place with hot glue. These trees add a touch of realism to your village and create a harmonious holiday tableau. They are also great for filling any empty spaces between the bottom of  the houses and the wreath base.

Display & Share Your Nordic Christmas Village DIY Wreath

With a few simple materials and a touch of creativity, you’ve crafted a stunning Nordic Christmas Village DIY Wreath that’s sure to captivate all who see it. Whether you hang it on your front door or display it indoors, this wreath is sure to bring the spirit of the season to life.

We’ve hung ours as nestled among plenty more Nordic inspired pieces such as table top trees and reindeer ornaments in and around a beautifully decorated white cupboard.

As you welcome guests and loved ones into your home, they’ll be greeted by the charm of a miniature Christmas village, evoking memories of cozy winter nights and festive celebrations.

Happy crafting, and may your holiday season be filled with laughter, love, and the magic of your handmade Nordic Christmas Village DIY Wreath! 🎄❄️🏡
