Christmas Inspired Drinks to Keep You Warm

Christmas in July Drinks to keep you warm with a snowman marshmallow smiling - Christmas Inspired Drinks to Keep You Warm

Christmas in July calls for warming winter goodies through morsels of tasty foods, snacks, and drinks. And unlike a traditional Australian Christmas in the summertime, Christmas in July drinks are perfect served toasty. We’ve put together a selection of Christmas in July drinks to sip, slurp and keep you warm this winter.

On a cold winter’s night, I like to rock my favourite pair of flannelette pajamas and sip back on a warm mug of one of winter’s goodies. And my list of beverages perfect for frosty fingers seems to get bigger and bigger each year as our team finds new and improved versions of Christmas in July drinks to share.

Dishing out the best of the best, here is our top list of Christmas in July drinks, just perfect for the chilly (and maybe a little bit silly) season.

Eggnog

Firstly, it would be remiss not to mention one of the most traditional of them all, and fast becoming one of our favourite Christmas in July drinks; eggnog. However, the eggnog that our team fancy is far from traditional. Instead of grandma’s classic recipe, our Christmas in July drink is twisted with a salted caramel edge.

This Salted Caramel Eggnog Christmas in July drink has a perfect balance of sweet and savoury.

Hot Buttered Rum

Two things that are always a hit on the Christmas cooking list – butter and rum. But not often these two are considered perfect beverage partners. Courtesy of The Gourmet Traveller, Defector’s Guatemalan Hot Buttered Rum makes our Christmas in July drink list for its uniqueness and its flavour.

The simple ingredients for this Christmas in July drink include boiling water, honey, cinnamon sugar, butter, and cocoa powder. The recipe also calls for Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 rum; however, we are fairly confident you could replace this with any rum of your liking.

Heart-Stopping Hot Chocolate with Chocolate Mallows

For those cooks amongst us who are happy to go to the extra effort to craft their hot chocolate from scratch, this one is next level amazing.
