I'm so excited to share how I transformed my entry and dining into a winter wonderland for Christmas in July! Using silver, white, and snowy elements, I created a magical atmosphere that truly captures the festive spirit. If you love decorating and want to bring some wintery charm into your home, this is the perfect inspiration for you!
First up, let’s talk about my entryway. I wanted it to feel like stepping into a snow globe. To achieve this, I started with a beautiful DIY swag bow for my mirror, made with festive sprays and a stunning white and silver double-sided ribbon. It's amazing how such a simple addition can make such a big impact!
On the console table I created a centrepiece that's both eye-catching and easy to put together. I created my own mirror table tray using a wall mirror and flat cupboard handles. Now, onto my favourite part - the dining table area! I wanted to create a real wow factor, and I think I succeeded. The centrepiece of this setup is the display I created on the light fixture above the table, using artificial white twigs to create a snowy, branch-like effect, with hanging silver snowflakes and disco balls for that extra sparkle. To make it even more magical, I attached some rotators to make the ornaments move gently, creating a twinkling effect.
For the dining table itself, I started with a grey velvet tablecloth as my base. Velvet adds a luxurious feel and the grey colour complements the snowy theme perfectly. On top of the tablecloth, I placed a DIY mirror tray, similar to the one in the entryway. I filled it with more cone trees, artificial snow, and disco baubles. The mirror tray not only looks gorgeous but also helps to bounce light around, making everything look even more festive and bright.
No winter wonderland is complete without a few final touches. To finish the look, I created a gorgeous wreath for my doorway, mixing white, silver, and a touch of sparkle, along with a personalised plaque to welcome our guests into our festive dreamscape. I kept the other areas of my home chic and sophisticated with some of my favourite simple black, white, and silver decor. It's all about those simple touches that bring in the Christmas spirit without overhwhelming the space.
