Kids Christmas Craft - Red and silver colour

Christmas is a wonderful time to spend with your family. But Christmas holidays also means finding fun things to do with your kids – especially when you’ve got Christmas shopping and cooking to do! To help keep your family happy and occupied we’ve come up with a few kids Christmas craft ideas to try out.

Ornament Painting
This is not just a wonderful craft idea, it will also leave you with unique decorations to use for years to come. Simply set your kids up with a few clear glass baubles and colourful paints and let their imaginations run wild. Once all the baubles have been decorated put them aside and let dry, then allow your kids to add them to the tree.

Paper Snowflakes
Snowflakes are one of the easiest Christmas crafts for kids to make. Fold a few pieces of paper into squares by folding a corner into a triangle and cutting off the excess rectangle, then allow your kids to cut small pieces out of them, ensuring the sides stay in-tact. Unfold the squares to reveal your snowflakes. Punch small holes in the top of each snowflake and attach some ribbon, then hang the snowflakes in your windows.

Handprint Wreath
Draw a circle onto a piece of coloured paper with a smaller circle inside, then cut out the template. Trace the hand of your child on to red and green pieces of paper and cut out enough to cover the paper circle. Glue hand-prints around wreath circle with fingers facing out and hang with a ribbon.

Painted Pinecones
Make something special from an everyday object. Remove any dirt from the pine cone prongs with a tissue. Paint the tips of the pine cone prongs with white paint and add some glitter to the wet paint. Use as a table centerpiece or Christmas tree decoration.
