‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. That might be how the poem goes but that’s not usually how it is in reality! Kids especially are usually pretty excited on Christmas Eve. So why not make the most of the evening and create a special new tradition for your family. Putting together a Christmas Eve pack is a great way to make the night before Christmas special and fun.
When you’re thinking about what to put in your Christmas Eve pack, think about the things your family really enjoy doing together. Maybe you can buy everyone new pyjamas and give them out as early presents. Once everyone is settled in and comfortable, find an activity you can all do together. Do you love playing board games? Will you want to read your kids a book before bed? Are there any Christmas films you all love watching? All these things can go in the pack.
Also consider what you can put in to make the night more exciting than usual. Put in popcorn or another favourite move snack you can give to your kids as a treat. Create a special Christmas themed drink for the kids, and treat the grownups to some eggnog or mulled wine.
