What’s Your Most Thoughtful Gift?

There’s nothing quite like that heart-melting moment when you receive a precious and thoughtful gift that leaves a lasting impression.

We asked our loyal social media followers and some of our team at The Christmas Cart to share with us their most thoughtful gifts and here’s what they said.

“When I was donating blood, I would eat pretzels while drinking water, the salt helps your body retain the water. My sister got me a giant bucket of pretzles. No one else understood why but I still think it was the most thoughtful gift I had ever received.”  – Jessica, TCC Facebook Family

“My thoughtful gift was a xmas tree made by my 6 yr old great grandson at school, which I have in my garden.” – Priscilla, TCC Facebook Family

“Time… as a single mummy to a beautiful boy, life is full on and crazy busy which I love.. but someone else made their time a priority for me, we sat and had tea and just talked.. it was out of her normal schedule to fit mine…” – Helen,TCC Facebook Family

“It would have to be this year on Mother’s Day. You see I have step children and for the first time in 20plus years I received a very special collage of pictures of my grand babies shaped like the moon with the say “Nanny, We Love you to the moon and back” don’t seem much to many but that is something I say to the every single day. To tell you the truth I say it to all my nieces nephews grand babies and daughter. I just love it.” – Peggy, TCC Facebook Family

“For my 30th birthday, my aunt sent me a matchbox Ferrari.
Sounds like nothing special, until you hear the story that comes with it.
Apparently, 25 or 26 years before hand, my aunt and I had a conversation about when I was a grown up. I told her that when I was old I’d be rich and have a Ferrari, and when asked how old, “old” is, I told her 30.
My aunt clearly bought the Ferrari soon after this conversation as the plastic cover was yellowed and brittle.
That was 11 years ago, and my car is sitting with my other treasures in my cabinet of specials ❤” – Erin, TCC Facebook Family

“When my phone was stolen and Facebook got hacked into 4 years ago, I lost all my photos of my son, Banks, as a baby up until the age of 2. My sister collected every photo I had ever posted as well as photos of her own and got them printed into a photo book. She wrote little captions about the photos on each page – I cried like a baby.” – Ashley, TCC Office Family

“I would have to say the gift of 7 garden gnome dwarfs given to me on Valentine’s Day from my 2 young daughters, aged 11 and 6 years, because they thought I was a princess like Sleeping Beauty! So cute. I still have them.  They are so tacky but I love them.  I’m planning on using them in a fairy garden for my 2 granddaughters.” – Deb, Mumma of the TCC Office Family 😉

Thank you so much to everyone who shared their special gifts.

It’s beautiful sentiments like these that remind us it’s often the smallest and inexpensive gifts that have the biggest impact. Be sure to keep this in mind when planning your Christmas gift list this year.
