The design, quality, and affordability of Kmart home décor has ensured that our homes are full of beautiful pieces that can be styled so that every room looks fresh, organised and on-trend and that means at Christmas time too!
With that said, we’d like to share with you some of the ways we have styled for Christmas so that our Christmas decorating compliments and doesn’t clash with all our with our existing Kmart home décor.
Stylish Trays
Trays are a wonderful way of creating little pockets of Christmas cheer all around your home and Kmart has heaps of great trays that can be used as part of your Christmas décor. We’ve used the Kmart Pink Suede Tray that is perfect for jewellery or perfumes but works equally well as a pretty place for some fluffy-tailed squirrels all decked out in their pink scarves and jackets waiting for Santa to arrive.
We’ve also styled this black mirror tray with this cute bird, some antique silver pinecones and three sparkly wire Christmas trees.
These little vignettes are perfect for the end of a console table or buffet, sitting in the middle of a coffee table or perhaps on a set of shelves. Using the tray helps ground these small decorations so that they aren’t lost among bigger décor pieces. They also help to create a “story” to your decorating by the use of colour, texture or some other design element.
Stylish Black Metal Shelf
This Round Wall Metal Shelf wins our vote as one of the most stylish and versatile Kmart home décor items. It can be styled for every season and is the perfect way to add some interest to those thin awkward wall spaces that we find need a bit of love in our homes.
Having said that, whilst it is definitely designed to hang, we discovered that with a bit of help from some well-placed blutac, it can also sit nicely on a buffet in an entryway as a beautiful way to welcome guests to your home.
To style our black metal round shelf we have combined 3 of Kmart’s Wooden Letters spelling the word JOY, which has been sprayed silver and sprinkled with glitter with some glittery picks and beautiful antique silver pinecones.
And voila, you have got yourself one stunning pocket of Christmas goodness.
Stunning Pink Florals
Finally, we are excited to share how we arranged some of our favourite blush and burgundy Christmas florals with Kmart’s Pampas Grass and their pretty Pink Ombre Vase.
Christmas sprays, stems, and flowers are a wonderful and creative way to add a touch of Christmas to so many parts of your home. We are absolutely in love with the range that we have launched this year including our burlap and velvet poinsettia flowers which we have used here in our Sugarplum Collection.
To keep the soft and whimsical feel that this collection evokes we’ve filled the vase with artificial snow and added a gorgeous feathery princess and two jewelled velvet pink birds.
