Edible Christmas Centrepieces – YUM

edible Centrepieces
There’s no denying a beautiful centrepiece can look wonderful and pull together a decorating theme. But imagine if you centrepiece was both stunning and delicious! Edible centrepieces are a fun edition to any table, and sure to be a hit with guests. We’ve gathered together a few ideas for cooks of every level to get you started.

Fruit
An easy and stunning edible centrepiece is a fruit Christmas tree. You can stick to a red and green theme (with red berries and kiwi fruit or green apple) or use whatever seasonal fruit you like best. All you need is a Styrofoam cone (preferably green), toothpicks and your chosen fruits, cut into pieces. Attach one piece of fruit to each toothpick. Think free-form – as the tree starts building you will know more about which fruit combinations are looking better and how densely packed you want your tree to be. Continue building the tree as dense as you want until you’re all done!

Chocolate
For something a bit indulgent you can create a chocolate Christmas tree to use as your centrepiece. A simple buttercream icing will attach the chocolate pieces or balls of your choice to the cone. Use a mixture of dark, milk and light chocolate to create different patterns.

Candy
One of the easiest and most effective centrepieces is the lollypop bouquet. First, find a gift box and fill it with foam. Then attach skewers to the ends of lollypops and arrange them into a bouquet. Fill in the gaps with green paper or cellophane and you’re done!
