With such a simple colour palette, it’s easy to create beautiful DIY pieces for a Christmas Sparkle theme. A little red, a touch of silver, plenty of glitter and sparkle and voila!
For inspiration, here’s how we created a Christmas Sparkle DIY Chandelier and Tree Topper.
Make a Christmas Sparkle DIY Chandelier
- 38cm metal hanger
- ribbon
- selection of silver and red baubles and tree decorations. We used:
- silver glass Christmas bauble pack – set of 42
- red ribbed baubles – set of 3
- rouge large drop – set of 3
- rouge small drop – set of 3
Instructions:
- Gather your selected baubles and decorations.
- Attach them to the metal hanger at varying lengths/levels. You can thread some directly onto the hanger and suspend others with different lengths of ribbon to create your desired visual effect.
- Hang/attach the completed chandelier to your ceiling or chosen hanging place. TIP: It looks great suspended over your Christmas dining table.
- Enjoy your gorgeous new chandelier!
Create a Christmas Sparkle Tree Topper

- A range of silver and red sprays and flowers. We used:
- 1 x Red Poinsettia Flower Pick with Red Glitter Trim
- 2 x Red Glitter Fern Spray
- 1 x Large Midnight Blue Beaded Glitter Bird
- Cable ties, floral wire or anything similar to attach pieces to the placemat and shape/secure it to the tree
Instructions:
- Arrange and secure the feature flowers and sprays towards the centre of the placemat.
- Secure any other pieces that you have selected such as birds, picks or other decorations.
- Shape the placemat around the top of your tree and secure in place with floral wire and/or cable ties.
