From a Santa photo printed on paper (laser jet printers work best for this) and a sliced piece of wood, you can create a beautiful wall hanger to cherish for years to come. Here’s how to do it.
- To turn your Santa photo into a keepsake Christmas gift, just print a copy of your Santa photo onto paper
- Trace the wood shape out and cut around your Santa photo within the shape (a little bit smaller)
- Using Mod Podge Photo Transfer Medium, cover the face of the wood in a generous layer
- Next, place your photo onto the wood, image side down and smooth out any bubbles
- Let this dry over night
- With a damp cloth, wet the surface of your paper, then gently rub the paper with the cloth
- The paper will start to crumble and come away from the wood. Continue until all the paper residue is removed
- Once done, add a thin layer of Mod Podge glue over the top to set your Santa photo in place
- Allow it to dry then your photo art is complete. You can add a hook to the back of the wood to hang on the wall or turn it into a standalone picture by adding a frame stand
* Tip: you can buy Mod Podge at various places online or from your local craft shop. Alternatively, just use tattoo transfer paper to stick your Santa photo to the wood instead
Make a statement wall by adding to your Santa photo collection every year at Christmas time. This makes the perfect Christmas décor.
You could also do this wood transfer on placemats, a keepsake box, photo boxes, a tissue box and plenty more. Places like Bunnings and craft shops stock plenty of wood-base items to use.

Using a similar idea to the above, showcase your Santa photos on the Christmas tree as ornaments.

Instead of using the photo transfer medium, just glue your Santa photo to the base instead and cover it generously over the top with Mod Podge glue. You might like to use a design software first and add the date or some text to your Santa photo before printing it out.
