It’s Ok to Be A Little (or A Lot!) Crazy About Christmas

You read the title right – it’s only October but it is completely okay to already be excited about Christmas! After the year we have all been through, it’s certainly nice to have a joyous occasion to look forward to. We know that people who are crazy about Christmas have already started thinking about gifts and decorations, and probably already have some décor on display. But as self-proclaimed “Christmas crazies”, we believe there is always something extra you can add to your Christmas!

Christmas Crazy Decorators

Some may not understand why us “crazies” love to find Christmas decorations when it’s not even December – little do they know we’ve been searching all year!

Michelle from the Christmas Mums Facebook group is one mum who is crazy about Christmas. So much so that she purchased her 5th Christmas tree this year! That’s five to display all at once – not the fifth time she’s replaced or upgraded. We are definitely following along on her decorating journey to see her Christmas-filled home.

Another mum from the Christmas Mums Facebook group, Nicola, recently purchased a variety of ornaments in a range of different colours to add to her Christmas décor. She states in her post that she purchased so much because she has “multiple trees in multiple rooms”.  There’s nothing quite like spreading the Christmas spirit all throughout your home, and what better way to do that than with iconic Christmas trees. We cannot wait to see how Nicola displays each of her trees!

Just like these mums, we are also firm believers in having an array of Christmas trees on display. They don’t all have to be full size. Carefully placed table tops trees can share the joy too. Yes, we may be “slightly crazy” about Christmas. But there really is something magical about the festive season, and we are grateful to be able to spread Christmas cheer all throughout the year via our blog, Facebook and Instagram.

Christmas Crazy Creators

Kerrie is an Australian businesswoman who runs Created by Kez, where she handmakes beautiful earrings. The best part is, she has already begun making her collection of Christmas earrings, which are seriously gorgeous! Since we are crazy about Christmas, and this beautiful country that we live in, our favourite pair of earrings is the cute Christmas Koala. We might even purchase a few of these awesome designs to add to our collections, or to give as special gifts for friends and family.

Another business owner who is already preparing for Christmas is Sandra from Little Princess Designs. She definitely has the right idea with these adorable personalised Christmas labels, which would look fantastic added to your child’s Christmas gifts! Children are already crazy about Christmas, and most of them are crazy about stickers too, so it seems like a no-brainer that these little labels will only add to their festive excitement.

Now that you’ve found adorable gift tags for your children’s gifts, it’s time to find some for the grown-ups too. Giving a gift with a personal touch is sure to lift the recipients Christmas spirit. If you are crazy about Christmas too, we are certain you’ve already finished your Christmas shopping – or at least the gift list! Maybe they’re already wrapped. Add a personal touch to each individual gift with Personalised Gift Tags, featuring a name hand-written in one of 11 glitter calligraphy colours.

Christmas Crazy in the Community

The Salvation Army is a household name throughout Australia – we all know them from their Red Shield Appeal door-to-door donations and tireless work with some of the most vulnerable people in our community. Grafton Salvation Army is starting their fundraising early to help save Christmas for those in need. If someone from the Salvation Army comes knocking at your door with a familiar red bucket, please give what you can, as any amount will help. Now more than ever, people need assistance, especially around this time of the year. No matter how much you have spare to donate, any amount is sure to help someone in need. Understandably, many people are no longer carrying cash, so The Salvation Army also accepts online donations.

Maybe you don’t have the funds to spare a donation, which is completely okay! There are other random acts of kindness or good-will activities you can do throughout the community to start spreading the spirit of Christmas. Why not rehash the ‘Bear in the Window’ movement by placing a Christmas Teddy Bear, Christmas Angel or Elf Shelf Sitter in your front window this year to help share some excitement about Christmas? Or get the children involved in culling the toys they haven’t touched since last Christmas and donating them to other children who are in need.

There is nothing wrong with being crazy about Christmas, and there is more than one way you can share this excitement with those around you. Right now, it is vital to spread the joy of Christmas – we could all do with a little bit of positivity in our lives!
