Best Pinterest Christmas Centrepieces

Need some inspiration for your Christmas centrepieces this year? Check out these simple and stylish Christmas centrepieces, easy enough to do yourself.

Whether you are big on décor around the house or not, Christmas generally brings out the interior decorator in all of us. Once a year we pull our finest out of mothballs and showcase more bling around the house than seen in Kim Kardashian’s jewellery box. Christmas centrepieces with snowflakes, holly and winter wonderland everywhere.

But, as part of the world who celebrates Christmas during summer, why not embrace this time of the year with some summer-inspired Christmas centrepieces and decorations instead!

Need inspiration? Don’t worry, we have you covered.

Here’s some of the best Christmas centrepieces our team found on Pinterest; Australian-style.

Beach Inspired Christmas Centrepieces

In Australia, the beach goes to Christmas time like Batman goes to Robin – sidekicks, but so much better together. These Christmas centrepieces feature beach-inspired elements with enough sparkle to be festive.

All depending on what items you have available at home, the beauty with most of these Christmas centrepieces is they involve very minimal cost and effort.

Using a large vase, a candle and some items normally collected from the beach such as starfish and driftwood, you can make a single Christmas centrepiece with this idea or line up a few along the table as seen in this image below. It doesn’t matter if the vases are the same type, odd sizes and shapes will add some extra interest.

If you don’t have any vases laying around, you can usually pick up some bargain vases from Op shops or discount stores. Generally, the older the vase the more character they have too.

Below is another simple, yet elegant beach vase Christmas centrepiece. This vase has a wider opening at the top allowing for more items in the bottom of the vase. Add some Christmas baubles for extra Christmas cheer.

Lantern Christmas Centrepiece

Fresh and with a splash of chic, you can create a beautiful Christmas centrepiece with a lantern. Much like the beach-inspired vases above, just fill a timber lantern with the best of the beach and a candle. These lanterns can be picked up at discount variety stores and retailers like Kmart.

Check out the table décor which coincides beautifully with this Christmas centrepiece too. Aqua and blues are so fitting for an Aussie beach-themed Christmas.

We love the idea of a lantern Christmas centrepiece, here’s another one below. This lantern features a single candle in the middle with the main decorations added to the outside instead.

Upcycled Tins

This Christmas centrepiece cleverly makes use of what would usually be discarded as rubbish. With some old tins, spray paint and flowers, you can create a feminine arrangement that is pleasing on the eye.

Simply remove the labels from canned food items like baked beans, tinned peas and even dog food. Tins of various sizes work well with this project. Soak the tins in a bowl of water first to soften the labels if you have any trouble removing them. Be careful to avoid the sharp edge of the cans.

Give the tins a coat of spray paint and add your decorations. Twigs with glitter also look great with this.

Build Your Own Christmas Tree

A Christmas tree Christmas centrepiece – of course!

This centrepiece takes a little more effort but the end result is well worth it. All you need is a piece of floral oasis, some greenery, decorations and a jar or stand for a base (whatever you have available that will take the oasis).

Just soak the oasis in water then cut it to form a slight triangle at the top. Press it in place in the jar, then start adding the pieces of greenery. Once you have all pieces in place you can add some mini Christmas baubles and tree decorations.

You can make this Christmas centrepiece as Australian themed as you like. Pieces of wattle would also work well.
