Create a Magical Christmas Morning Theme

Create a Magical Christmas Morning - Create a Magical Christmas Morning Gift Guide

Even for those among us who aren’t quite ‘morning people,’ there’s no feeling quite as magical as those first sleepy moments as you wake up to remember that today is not just any morning – it’s Christmas morning!

The words ‘Christmas morning’ evoke memories of childlike wonder and surprise, as you’d excitedly hop out of bed to see what Santa left under the tree. As such, we’ve designed a theme that captures the whimsy and wonder of Christmas day for the young – and the young at heart!

But why limit the festive ambience to the 25th of December? With the right balance, a combination of traditional bold, bright colours and novelty decorations can still be elegant. Have a look at these tips to create that a Magical Christmas Morning feeling throughout the whole festive season!

  1. Choose one primary colour, and two complimentary colours. While a whimsical decor style calls for lots of colour, too many can be overpowering. We love to stick with a recurrent use of bright red throughout the decorative theme. Marry this with darker tones of royal blue and green to create a regal, traditional feeling.
  2. Christmas characters are your friends! Santa, elves, snowmen and reindeer – invite everyone to your house for some festive fun. Have a look at these adorable character baubles and applique stockings and sacks.
  3. Taste the magic. We’ve all heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day – so why not make it the most beautiful too? There are so many ways to get creative with your breakfast banquet on Christmas day. On our menu this year, we’re thinking Gingerbread Pancakes, decorated as reindeer, Santa Hat Strawberries, and a yummy croissant casserole. Keep an eye on our blog for recipes in the coming weeks!
  4. Colourful crackers. Nothing spreads Christmas cheer quite like a silly dad joke from inside a Christmas cracker. Use these bon bons to brighten up the Christmas dining table – they’re great as place cards too!
  5. Musical magic. Everyone knows that music is one of the easiest ways to spread merriment – and Christmas has no shortage of themed songs. We love decorations that integrate music, such as musical toys and snowglobes, as they provide a little extra fun that is sure to keep the little ones entertained.
